Waw (wāw "hook") is the sixth letter of the Semitic abjads, including Phoenician wāw 𐤅, Aramaic waw 𐡅, Hebrew vav ו ‎, Syriac waw ܘ and Arabic wāw و ‎ (sixth in abjadi order; 27th in modern Arabic order).
